So, I said I was done for the season...
Right?
Yuppers.........that's me! One big, "Whooo~Hooo"
followed by one very big, " Oh, S@&#!"
Well I decided ,since we got yet another 12" of
snow, I'd go for another rip. On the way home
took a blast through the power lines. Took a wrong
turn........
snapped a hard right: water no problem!
However, the area I could not see was the three foot drop with area of ledge that was starting to freeze back over. My ski caught the ledge and the swearing began..Ha! I wasn't hurt just a little in the morning. Local guys coming along the trail stopped to help. That's right more New Hampshire "Good Guys". Unable to free my sled we headed back home to load for the recovery mission. We called on another Rusty Counterpart ," Kid Skid" , Mark. Scott and Mark loaded up the necessities, wench, ropes, sled trailer, flashlights and every other tool they could get a hold of and off they went! My help was no longer need....really?
Four hours later~ Success !
The sled was freed and brought back home to thaw. Believe it not it runs and all it needs is a new track.
Too Much Fun We Have!
This did not stop me,
two days later more snow and one more
ride for the old girl. I had to use one of Scott's other
sleds but this trip was probably the best of the season. We headed of north and rounded
Newfound Lake. Rounding our day out and final
snowmobile ride of the season we went to the top
of the world, Bridgewater,NH.
Amazing views of Newfound Lake and Lake Winnipesaukee
a 360` view of the mountains.
It really was a breathtaking view of New Hampshire's Lake and Mountains ~The cabin atop the mountain...
So happy I went out one more time!
What a gorgeous spot~
couldn't have ended the season on a better note!
make sure you mark your calendar for next year!
Give me a shout out and I'll hook you up for your adventure
here in the Lakes Region.
